The Mountain of the Muses & Natural Beauty
Elikonas or Zeriki, is a village in the prefecture of Viotia, built at an altitude of 850 meters on a small plateau of the mountain of the same name. It is the most mountainous village of Elikonas and was inhabited by Arvanites in the 14th century. Mount Elikonas rises between the banks of the Corinthian Gulf and the plains of Viotiaand according to mythology, the nine Muses, daughters of Zeus and Mnemosyne, lived there.
